Portland Family Dental Centre is an NHS and private dental practice on Portland Road, in the heart of Hucknall — the Ashfield market town about seven miles north of Nottingham. We’re close to the town centre and the Market Place, and because Hucknall is the northern end of the NET tram Line 1 and sits on the Robin Hood rail line, we’re easy to reach from Butler’s Hill, Broomhill, Linby, Papplewick and Bestwood.
We’re currently welcoming new NHS and private patients of all ages. With NHS places in and around Hucknall in high demand, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later.

We had our 5-year-old son’s teeth cleaned by Dr. Anjana , and the entire experience was outstanding. The doctor was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle, making our son feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure. The cleaning was done with great care and professionalism, and Dr. Anjana took the time to explain everything clearly to us. It’s not easy to earn the trust of a young child, but Dr.Anjana did so with warmth and compassion. The clinic was clean, welcoming, and child-friendly, and all the staff were friendly and supportive. We are truly grateful for the excellent care our son received and highly recommend Dr. Anjana to any parents looking for a skilled and caring paediatric dentist.

Dr. Anette Alfredsson is by far the best dentist I have ever had. The three dentists I had before her (not at this practice) did not make my situation better. I have seen genuine improvements after she became my dentist. She is also quite gentle and even without anesthetic it has not been painful at all. Her assistant is really great too! The practice is really well run. The receptionists are all very friendly and they remind you of your appointment two days before. They also pick up when you call. I highly recommend Hucknall Smile Centre.

I cannot recommend this dental surgery highly enough! After being let down during an emergency by 7 Dental, the wonderful team at Smile Centre stepped in and got me an appointment on the very same day. 🫶 The entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Dr. Samia Ali Shah, who is a truly amazing dentist. She took such great care of me and is always so genuinely kind and caring. If you are looking for an exceptional dental practice, I highly recommend them to everyone!

Me and my family have been there for years, throughout the experince it is always at exceptional standards while provide affordable service. Having trustworthy dentists like Dr Omar taking honest measures to keep your teeth in shape and smile worthy. I have not much else to say but keep doing what you are already doing!
